| Pre-Starfleet | Dwayne was born on Earth to Jordan and Elizabeth Moss at Bellevue Hospital in 2129 in New York City. It was noted that there were some complications and this resulted in him being an only child to his mother and father. As the only child of his parents, he was raised in a sheltered life. As a teenager, Dwayne was very passionate about the law since he father was a member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Navy. When ever he father had a case, Dwayne would sit in the study arguing about the merits of the outcome. After graduating from High School, Dwayne attend the University of Maryland when in 2151 he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Pre-Law. After his graduation, he was approached by member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps of Starfleet since they were looking for lawyer. At this time, he had no interest in joining the space exploration so turned them down and moved on with his goal by getting his Juris Doctor in United Earth Law. While attending the University of Maryland Law School, Dwayne decided to follow in his father footsteps, but instead of joined the United States military; he joined the United Earth Military Assault Command Organization. When his father learned that his son was taking part in the Officer Candidates Course, Colonel Moss express pride that he was the first Moss to serve something other than Starfleet. |

| Starfleet Career | In the summer of 2154, Dwayne would attend the ten week class to earn his commission from the United Earth Military Assault Command Organization. Before he could be assigned to a ship, Dwayne had to attend a six week basic training course. In 2155, he was assigned to the Discovery NX-04 since Operation Command felt that with the first three NXs holding Detachment Commander who were rated as Majors or Lieutenant Colonel, that it would be better to allow junior officer a chance to move on. |
