Hey everyone
So, I submitted my monthly report to the fleet yesterday, and I have to just take a moment to tell you all just how great we did. Using the Nova post counting method that the fleet uses (whereby if a post was a JP between 2 people, it counts as 2 posts, a post with 3 people 3 posts, and so on) we had 19 posts last month - with the 6 of us, that means an average of over 3 posts per player! (The fleet's basic requirement is 2 posts per player a month)
Even if we count each post as only one, we managed to push 10 posts out - which puts us just shy of reaching that 2 post average using that method too.
I'm also please to announce a couple of awards that I've handed out this month: The Postmaster award goes out to the member of the crew who has contributed the most posts to the sim for the month. I've found in the past that I usually end out coming out on top of that list just by sheer fact of being the CO; that necessitates that I initiate a lot more posts than most others. And so I always exclude myself from the list of people eligible for this award. With this in mind, the Postmaster award for this month goes to Doctor Maya, who managed to participate in 4 posts last month!
Next up is the Newcomer award, which I have given to our MACO, Dalton Wakefield (who was also the runner up for postmaster, with 3 posts to his name). The Newcomer award is given to new players who impress within their first month on the sim. I actually awarded this to Doctor Maya last month as well, but forgot to put up the announcement - so here it is in a belated fashion as well!
Now, as far as looking ahead; I'm hoping that we can keep up last month's good performance for March. We're going to first of all deal with the aftermath of Cayne's death, and once we've made sure that there will be no more accidents on the ship, we'll be moving promptly on to our arrival in orbit of Deneva and the situation that we'll face there.
Here's to another good month!
