OK, so this forum is all spawning from an idea that I had while watching some of the documentaries on the TNG Season 3 blu-ray box set. Most of the ones on this box set were all about the writer's side of the series, which I found quite insightful to how the season was written from season 3 onwards; which was at the point that TNG really took off. One of the main focus of the writing staff from that point on was character-driven plots, and I have watched a Q&A session with most of the main writers about the things they miss - and one of them said that the thing they miss the most was being able to talk about he characters - to ask questions about "How does Troi feel about Riker," or "How would Worf react to this" etc etc. I think that we can adapt this kind of thing to suit us perfectly, and so I'm going to create a thread in this forum for each character aboard the sim; in them, we can ask any questions we want about that character - from how they feel about people, to what their reaction to a situation would be, to life goals and regrets, etc - and we'll get the player behind that character to answer, and I'll keep the first post in the thread updated with all of the questions and answers for quick reference. I'm hoping that this will not only help us understand our own characters more, but also help each other understand how we can interact with our characters, so please do what you can to make use of this. |
