I'm hoping we can move on relatively quickly from the investigation. I'm thinking that at this point when we have Dalton and Tal confirm that all systems are clear of tampering, we can resume course and carry on dealing with the saboteur along the way.
I'm going to be away for the next week and so won't be able to progress things myself, but I'm leaving Mike (Leo) in charge while I'm away - and if it's necessary for Christina to be NPC'd to keep things moving while I'm away, he's got permission to do that. Otherwise, I'm going to have a good sit down and come up with a step-by-step of where we're going next to progress with the mission when I get back, so we can hopefully build up some momentum again.

In the "CSI: Discovery" thread, http://discovery.pegasusfleet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&p=666&sid=9106842d37717efc21531126463149d8 Curtis requested an update on Anziano's medical condition. No matter how many times I reread it, Anziano appears to be closer to the explosion than Tal Sek, and the Andorian needed (minor) surgery. How hurt is Anziano? I'm wracking my brains to come up with a response that won't put our chief engineer out of commission for a while.

So, I was thinking Anziano is simply concussed, flash blind, but otherwise unharmed. percussive damages at best. maybe daefness and rinigng for a day or so could be the worst he deals with?
And since we now know the frequency the bomb used to set itself, can we science a way for that information to reveal another device so wakefield and Tal can determine Discovery is clear of further devices?
This can be wrapped up in a few lines of dialogue even as Tal and Anziano are informed of this in sickbay... that way we can get on with the Deneva mission.

Sorry I've kind of dropped the ball here. Looking to rectify that and get things rolling again.
I think what we have now is a good approach to it - we already established that the explosive wasn't meant to be highly powered, so flash blindness/concussive injuries/temporary deafness are probably appropriate for both. That also allows them to get back into action again after only a couple of hours at most.
So, I'm trying to plan out a quick way to get us moving along with the mission now, since we seem to have stalled around this sabotage roadbump. I'm thinking:
* Finish up the post with Anziano & Tal Sek in sickbay - get them healing as quickly as we can. * Somehow use the frequency that caused the detonation to sniff for other devices - maybe use a frequency close to it, so that any devices would start to power up but not explode? Or find a way to detect devices specifically monitoring that frequency? Remove them and get the ship underway again. Might be good to involve Carpegiani here if sciency stuff is needed. * Leo and I will interview 3 crew members that will have been identified as having possible ties to Terra Prime. For quickness sake, I think I'll have one of them break down and confess out of guilt for killing the commander so we can move on.
Then we'll arrive at Deneva and get down onto the surface to start searching for Mosstaff.

Maya has been attempting to meet with Lieutenant Tal Sek privately. Perhaps in the sickbay scene?

Hello!
I have an idea for Chloe to help in the investigation, but I think we should wrap it up to an exciting conclusion soon! We have Tal Sek and Anziano injured, but they identified the frequency the devices used to detonate and communicate. Could Chloe get some insight as to who the traitor on board by listening to all bands especially this one they recently found? Wakefield and Curtis go to apprehend, that should involve most of us!

Sorry, I've still been a bit behind. That sounds like a great idea for a post though.

I'll try and start that Post Chloe!
Where is everyone else? I am taking over for my partner and borther for the time being as it has gotten slow. They will come back to the fold once we start posting regularly.
Maya, I think Tal and Maya should have a rough first meeting but stay professional etc... would love to do a sickbay post where he is obligated to sit there under her orders until she deems him fit for duty.

As an outline for the fastest way through this Deneva story...
We connect the dots and realize we do have a saboteur on board, but it is safe to go to Deneva. (just started that post.)
We pick up the distress call that Tybald La Jeune sent out from the inbound freighter and intercept them and the bomb which leads us to the people at the conference. (The first part of that post is already done)
Starfleet diplomacy bullshit binds our hands from actively arresting people, Oatha and her son provide a means for Curtis, Maco's etc.. to infiltrate and apprehend the saboteurs. (Set up post for this is done)

When did we catch the saboteur? It seems rather anticlimactic especially for me, the one playing the alien medical examiner ready for some Sherlock Holmes style observation and analysis. Did it all happen off stage? Do you mean to tell me that none of the writers here has watched a police procedural show like CSI or NCIS? This was a chance for my character to get show her stuff and form a bond with the Andorian, but now it's over before it started. I can't begin to express my disappointment. http://discovery.pegasusfleet.net/index.php/write/missionpost/40
