Greetings everyone! I am your new Tactical Andorian Tal Sek! So I was discussing options with the Cap'n, how does this sound? Tal Sek had a great time training with the Humans on Docona. Has been pursuing the investigation of the explosive as a hobby as he is trained in counter insurgency. Discovers the purpose of the device wasn't a bomb, that was merely to destroy evidence. The device disabled the proximity sensors on the port forward side, and allowed an agent to come aboard undetected. The belief being the agent would have recovered the device, but Cayne discovered it before it could be recovered and the fail-safe activated. At this point Tal Sek can believe the agent is still on board Discovery and request he join his MACO friends and root out the saboteur. (He also really wants to have adventures with is human friends:) To expedite the whole thing... we can find the Terra Prime member on board, get details for the Deneva plan and role into Deneva with action plan ready? Great site, I cant wait to get onboard!

It sounds good, but with the level of technology that is around in this era, it's not likely for an agent to be able to catch up to the ship undetected and get onboard. What we could do though, it have that as what Tal Sek believes happens, and he doesn't realise that humans don't have access to the sort of small stealthy ships with the warp speed needed for an agent to get onboard? Our current plan is that the Terra Prime operative is a member of the crew who is sympathetic to their cause, but it could be quite interesting for Tal Sek to come onboard with all of his ideas of how he might do it if he were the operative, or what sort of things he might look for on an Andorian ship, only to find that the same theories don't apply to a human ship. We might also need to come up with a reason for him to know the details of the explosion, though we could probably do that just by saying that the Andorians have much better sensors than we do. Curtis never told the Andorian captain what happened - just that there was an accident and one of the crew was a casualty, so I think when the Docona comes back to offer the exchange, there might need to be a bit of a conversation between Curtis and the Andorian captain where he basically says "We know that the accident was an explosion on the sensor lines in the armoury, and we know that the explosion came from a device that wasn't supposed to be there." Edit: Just got a chance to read your opener to our JP, and I can see you're already thinking where I am with this one in most ways

Awesome!
The three of us want to get on board so we can get into this. So why dont we have The Commander hail Discovery and tell them Docona will be re-uniting with them for a small personnel transfer to supplement their missing crew. This can be done such that the secret terrorist on board doesnt realize he/she is being hunted. When the two ships unite, the Commander, Tal and Captain Curtis can talk and Tal can present his findings, apologize for the breach of etiquette and explain he is a dog with a bone for such things. Hopefully Captain Curtis will look past the breach of etiquette and see he is an able officer who really emotionally cares for the well being of the crew and allow him to stay on...
Then we continue to Deneva, the Docona can scan the Discovery's last few parts needing inspection and get us underway.
Oatha and Tybald are on Deneva, So maybe Discovery canhave a helmsman thrusted upon them or Chloe can see active recruitment for a helsman and hail him..., and he needs to bring his mother along with him. Since she has served on freighters and is a Masters in biological sciences the crewman rank wouldn't be a stretch. So maybe she can take a test and qualify allowing her to accompany Tybald. Or Tybald can make an impassioned speech that his mother wont survive without him being there for her. Either way. they meet discovery and Oatha can help with the investigation behind the scenes of Deneva as Tal closes in on the traitor with the Maco's help (wakefield). The good doctor can be worked into any of the posts, especially Oatha as she deals with chemical depression issues.
What do y'all think?

I really want to get involved, but for some reason I can't get my head around any good ideas. Please message me or email me thepatagonian@gmail.com if you think of something for me to do.

I would imagine that Anziano will be quite busy making sure that there aren't any other devices planted somewhere else on the ship.
Chloe meanwhile doesn't have much to do beyond monitor communications, both incoming and outgoing, to make sure that the Terre Prime member doesn't try to send anything out to Deneva. That's probably not all that exciting, unless of course she actually does pick up an interesting message.

Tactical would like to have a word with you. I am thinking a storyline which may explain why Starfleet doesn't use the transporter to beam torpedoes whilly nilly or something. IDK, we can have some fun, stick with it!

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=93&p=636&sid=ab9adc71eb96843a7d8e49c6b8d441c3#p636This post... for an intro of our characters. I am thinking Tybald is on the ship smuggling the bombs to be planted. the native crew were killed or replaced, but Tybald was available and coerced into a paying gig piloting the ship. He takes it cause he can go see his mother, who works for Earth Operations in the Commissary on Deneva. Meanwhile Oatha notices something odd with the order inbound and smells a rat, leading her to suspicions which confirm a Terra prime member is in an admin role in the diplomatic function upcoming. So Oatha gets in hot water investigating something above her pay grade, and Tybald is on a ship as a Starfleet officer while it is carrying four terra prime terrorists bringing the bombs to Deneva. Of course, this can be just one of several shipments made, so there are still threats to the conference etc... Thoughts? care to join that post in progress?

Hi everyone. I apologize for my inactivity as of late. As usual I've had a lot going on, and unfortunately I've been letting my duties here slip. I assume in my absence, Chloe has been dutifully monitoring communications from the bridge. What's next for the mission? Do we want to spend a lot of time on the investigation, or get things wrapped up so that we can move on to Deneva?
